MODENGY AFSLC

MODENGY AFSLCs (Anti-Friction Solid Lubricating Coatings) are materials consisting of binding resin, solvent, highly dispersed particles of the solid lubricating materials as well as some functional additives.

After being applied onto a specially prepared surface, a thin composite layer forms which has high protective and lubricating properties. It provides efficient dry lubrication, and corrosion protection.

MODENGY AFSLC Technology Advantages

  • High anti-scuffing properties, and load-carrying capacity up to 2,500 MPa
  • Dry lubrication is effective in dusty environments
  • Low friction coefficient down to 0.03 according to ASTM D2714
  • Wide operating temperature range from -200°C up to +560°C
  • Resistance to chemically corrosive media including acids, alkalis, organic solvents, etc.
  • Corrosion protection is up to 500 hours in salt mist, according to ISO R 1456
  • Workability in vacuum and under radiation conditions
  • Wear resistance up to 400,000 cycles, according to ASTM D2714
  • The thickness of the coating layer on the part surface can be adjusted within 5 to 30 µm, and it hardly affects accuracy of the part’s initial sizes

AFSLC Operation Principle

The composite layer formed by MODENGY AFSLC is the binding substance matrix, tightly adhered to a substrate, whose cells are filled with highly dispersed particles of a solid lubricating material. The microroughness hollows of the surface are being filled, which increases its bearing area, and bearing capacity.

The parts friction scheme BEFORE and AFTER applying AFSLC

The coating has high compression resistance, and little shear resistance. As a result, the dry friction coefficient reaches the values of hundredths of one at the contact pressure commensurable with flow point of the substrate material.

We have available more than 20 kinds of MODENGY AFSLCs based on organic and non-organic binders, as well as solid lubricating materials of different chemical origin.

Solid Lubricating Materials:

  • Molybdenum disulfide
  • Polarized graphite
  • Polytetrafluorethylene (PTFE)
  • Tungsten disulfide
  • Boron nitride
  • Сalcium fluorides, and Barium fluorides
  • Special compositions

Our production facilities enable apply the coatings onto the parts of almost any configuration. MODENGY AFSLCs have successfully proofed their efficiency, and are used in energy, machine-tool manufacturing, automotive, oil-and-gas, and other industries.
